Pre-Onboarding Checklist (QBO)
Prior to joining the onboarding call, please follow the below steps to ensure the installation process runs smoothly. Any missed steps may result in the onboarding call being rescheduled to a later time.
Our onboarding calls require an Administrator (or someone with sufficient permissions) to be present in the call. The below is what we require this user to have access to do:
- Grant access to third-party extensions
If no attendees have permission to do the above, the call may be rescheduled.
You should have received an invitation email from your bank with links to the Companion App. Ensure that at least one person attending the call has access to this email.
The following QBO versions are supported by the Companion App:
- Essentials, Plus, Advanced
The following products are not supported by the Companion App:
- QBO Simple Start
- QuickBooks Desktop

Operating systems (minimum versions):
- Windows 7
- macOS - El Capitan
Minimum screen resolution:
- 1200x800px
In the Companion App, all bills are automatically pulled into the system, regardless of their status. QuickBooks Online does not provide the bill status via API to developers. This means that users will see bills in various states, such as unapproved bills. Currently, there is no option to filter bills based on their status, such as "Approved" only. This comprehensive view ensures that users have visibility into all their bills in one place, but it also means that manual review is necessary to identify specific statuses.
