Information for your accounts in scope are shown for previous day and intraday balances, along with near real-time transaction information directly from your bank.

Balances can also be exported in CSV file format by clicking 

. Please note that the export will take into account the filters you would have set. If you are exporting transactions for reconciliation purposes, make sure you have selected the right time frame you would like to process, in order to avoid double entries in your Accounting Software.

Note: if the file does not download, make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled.

Step 3: Import the Transactions into QuickBooks Online

Now that the transactions have been saved on your computer, you can upload them to your Quickbooks.

To do so, log in to your QuickBooks Online and click on the Banking tab.

To import your transaction into Quickbooks Online, select the

option in the drop-down menu on the top right corner of the screen.

Select the file you exported from the Companion App and select on 

Select the account you want to reconcile and select 

Map your bank statement with the QuickBooks Online fields (auto-populated except the “Amount” column). The file you will import has only one column for debit and credit.

The fields should be populated as the following:

Select the checkmark next to the Date field to import all transactions.

Scroll down to the bottom of the transactions list and select 

After the import has been completed, Quickbooks Online will show you a confirmation screen.

You have now to categorize the transactions to add them in Quickbooks. You can follow the steps highlighted in this video.

Overtime, Quickbooks will recognize the transactions from the same vendors and will automatically categorize them for you. You can also create custom rules to automate your workflow within the “Rules” tab.
