Pre-Onboarding Checklist (BC365)
pre onboarding call requirements in order to install your bank's business central 365 integration for cloud ( dynamics com https //urldefense proofpoint com/v2/url?u=http 3a dynamics com\&d=dwqfaq\&c=eugzstcatdllvimen8b7jxrwqof v5a cdpgnvfiimm\&r=j25mqvooxbwmzp6puiltqcoq31reytt3nxzd2cxgxf4\&m=jyvgjieiqux859vsruwmtk22pnasewkjgtzmov6tj8s\&s=fjqp21btrgpxtitrms8umfdml9cqp3e qmvsjzxeikc\&e= ), the installing user is required to have the “ cloud application administrator ” role within their microsoft active directory profile you also must have a business central license (premium or essentials) please request that your microsoft administrator apply this role prior to proceeding you will be unable to complete the installation without this role pre installation checklist version is the client on cloud (dynamics com) version of business central? is the client running on versions between 18+? please note that the plugin is compatible with bc's next major release, version 25 the business central version can be found by selecting the (?) icon in the top right when logged in select "help & support" found under the "other resources" section in the prompt that appears, scroll to find the "troubleshooting" section and observe the platform version for example, 21 0 53597 54893 describes a system on major version 21 for more information, see here https //learn microsoft com/en us/dynamics365/business central/dev itpro/administration/version numbers https //learn microsoft com/en us/dynamics365/business central/dev itpro/administration/version numbers multi companies does the organization have multiple companies? are the multiple companies set up with binary stream multi entity management solution? they must be on mem by binary stream to support multiple companies if not, we cannot onboard them at this time if the client intends to use mem, please ensure they understand that they will not be able to do the following write into check ledger entries, batching payments and overwrite doc no for check payments third party solutions does the client use any third party integrations or extensions? if yes, it is likely that we will run into issues especially if the solution impacts any of the core cash management pages or vendor objects known solutions that work are mem by binary stream and lanham edi & lanham e ship and e receive approval process does the client have an invoice/payment approval process setup in bc? approval processes can interfere with the expected behavior of the plugin by understanding the client’s process early we can determine what type of testing scenarios the client should complete to ensure the plugin will work with their approval process multiple remit to addresses features does the client use the remit to feature? when using the remit address feature in native business central and adding the address to the remit to code on the bill does not impact the success of payments made via the plugin however, the remit address is not picked up, and the payment will go to the address on the vendor card instead payment journal configured does every company within the environment (i e production) have a payment journal configured? if every company does not have a payment journal configured, the plugin installation will fail, even if you are just using bank feeds confirm this by checking each company for a payment journal before you attempt to install onboarding call is the microsoft azure admin on the call? does someone on the call have the necessary permissions to install extensions and manage permissions? click up next to begin the installation process! limitations multiple extensions or scheduled jobs multiple extensions or scheduled jobs that make a large amount of api calls may conflict with the plugin this is because microsoft limits the number of api calls that can be made from a singular user in a specific time range testing in sandbox with all extensions and scheduled jobs running is highly recommended to ensure full compatibility credit memos credit memos can not be applied at the time of payment to have credits appear at the time of payment, please apply the credit memo through the vendor ledger entries or using the applies to doc no method to the posted purchase invoice before making the payment azure government cloud the plugin does not currently meet the azure government cloud requirements as it is not hosted on azure support for non ap payments the plugin currently only supports payments to posted purchase invoices other payments such as customer refunds, employee expenses are not supported
