Bank Feeds (Sage 100)
bank feeds is now available for eligible sage 100 users! this guide will walk you through eligibility requirements, installation, and bank transaction retrieval for the sage 100 bank feeds feature eligibility requirements to successfully use sage 100 bank feeds, your organization must meet the following criteria active sage 100 subscription you must have a current, active subscription to sage 100 important note sage 100 contractor is a separate product and is not supported by this feature not for resale (nfr) environments, including those used by sage partners for testing or development, are not eligible bank reconciliation module the bank reconciliation module must be installed and properly registered within your sage 100 system on premise version your sage 100 system must be on premise sage partner cloud is not required for bank feeds functionality installation sage intacct administrator is required our onboarding calls require a sage intacct administrator to be present as they will need to enable a number of settings, create a web service user, install the plugin, and assign various permissions 1 register your fispan account registration is required in order to map your sage 100 bank accounts to your accounts that exist at your bank you will have received an invitation email from pnc with links to install the pnc plugin and easy to follow instructions for installation register & login create an account in your invitation email, select the get started button you will be brought to the portal create your login credentials and select next note the password you create here will be used every time you want to access the fispan portal if you need to update it later on, you have the option to use the " forgot password " option an image of the registration page, describing password requirements login to your account once registered, you will be redirected to the login page please note that your username and password are unique per environment, and you will have separate logins between sandbox and production note the sandbox environment is used as a testing or uat environment please refer to the sandbox checklist for test scenarios from the welcome page, you'll be taken to the login page enter your username and password to proceed setting up sms mfa note multi factor authentication (mfa) is only required if you are a user in the production environment if you are a sandbox user, you may skip this step the first time you log in to the production environment, you will be prompted to establish your multi factor authentication (mfa) setup you have the option to select various methods of mfa enroll phone number if you choose to use a phone number, you will receive a text message with a 6 digit code via sms to the phone number you provided for enrollment if you are unable to receive a text message to this number, or you prefer a different multi factor authentication method, click try another method enter code otherwise, enter the 6 digit code you received in the applicable field select continue save recovery code after setting up sms and inputting the first one time code, you will be presented with a recovery code that should be stored in a safe location this code is for resetting the mfa, to switch the mfa type (i e , authenticator), or to use a different phone number 2 connect to sage 100 bank feeds to connect your bank accounts in sage 100 to the bank feeds feature, log into sage 100 and navigate to modules > bank reconciliation > bank code maintenance on the bank code maintenance page, input the bank code you wish to connect bank feeds to after a bank code has been defined, a more button will appear on the top right click on the more button to open a drop down in the drop down, select connect bank feeds a new pop up window should appear, prompting you to "connect your bank" here, you may be prompted to enter an email address if you have not done so previously during your initial sage 100 setup you may also be prompted to complete a captcha in the search bar search "pnc bank" select pnc bank powered by fispan agree to the terms and conditions and select continue select continue you will be redirected to a landing page that will require you to sign in to the fispan wizard select login now click on connect to bank , it will open a new window for you to log into pnc log into the pnc portal with the credentials supplied by pnc once logged into the pnc portal, you will be presented with pnc accounts check the box(es) next to the account numbers provided on the enrolment form then, press authorize the window will close after a few moments and you can then press the next step button in the wizard you must complete the account matching flow within 60 minutes or the wizard will timeout after logging in, select the account which you have selected earlier after you have selected the account, select save and finish you will automatically be redirected back to sage after being redirected back to sage, select the same account and select ok the browser window should now close, and you will be prompted to select a date to begin importing bank transactions from once selected, select finish and close the pop up window retrieve imported bank transactions settled transactions are only pushed once per day, typically in the morning (est) therefore, it is advisable to download those transactions once a day at most, as there will not be any new transactions multiple times during the day after connecting your bank accounts bank feeds, your bank transactions will now be pushed into the bank reconciliation module in sage 100 to retrieve these bank transactions, navigate to modules > bank reconciliation > check, deposit and adjustment entry select the bank code of a bank account that you have connected to bank feeds previously click get bank feeds transactions this may take a while depending on the number of bank transactions you have once the transactions have loaded, click accept if accept is not selected, the transactions will not be saved within the bank reconciliation module and you will need to click get bank feeds transactions to generate them once more if there are no transactions, you will see a "pending" status until there are transactions to be pushed the comment column contains additional payment information passed from your bank to the memo field within fispan, and is now displayed in the comment column
